Horizontal freezers are used for fast freezing of, for example, fish, meat, poultry and vegetables.
In a horizontal freezer the material which is to be frozen lays horizontally in trays or boxes.
There are two freezing-systems: Batch- and process-freezing.
Batch-freezers freeze a single quantity at a time. They are emptied and refilled completely, after the material is frozen.
Process-freezers freeze continuously. The Material is typically moved through the freezer and can only be added and taken out at individual stations.
Process-freezers is also available with the option of batch freezing. We produce process-freezer both for land-based installations or freezing-vessels. Here the transport of the boxes is completely automated to ensure full functionality even in heavy seas.
